World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase 3percent of its previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.
Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item level increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a boost in stats or an extra effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.
upgrade item can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. item upgrades and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.
You will often find in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in key places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example that a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.
Leveling
The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. item upgrading is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When an individual player upgrade a piece of equipment it is replaced by the new item. The same armor will receive the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could become more expensive even if you don't require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a different set of bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can use up lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.
Requirements
Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and weapon upgrades items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its original condition, which requires the player to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or speed of reload). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Players will still have to take each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
